Why 'ZAZU'?

The name ZAZU was born out of a moment of pure adventure — quirky, unfiltered, and unforgettable.

In 2023, Dana was paddleboarding with her 7-year-old grandson, Jax, during a big family trip. Her kids had been urging her, “You need a catchy name, Mom!” But Dana knew it had to be more than catchy. Words carry creative power, and she wanted something with meaning ⚡.

As Jax paddled and Dana called out name after name straight from the heart, each one was met with a head shake and a firm “no.”

Then it happened.

She shouted, “ZAZU!”

Jax whipped his head around, pointed right at his Gaga (that’s what the grandkids call her), and said with total conviction:

“That’s it. ZAZU is the name.”

They both felt it — in their bones. It just fit 💥🫶.

Later, out of curiosity, they looked deeper into the word. Beyond the familiar pop-culture reference, they discovered something powerful: ZAZU comes from the Hebrew root meaning to move ✡️ — motion, action, momentum.

For Dana — a woman of deep faith — this wasn’t just interesting. It felt intentional. 🙏

Her vision had always been simple: just get people moving — even slightly.

Because once someone is in motion, survival mode begins to fade… and the energy of forward action starts to build 💫.
